Hornibrook NGI provides turnkey building services for hospitals, aid posts, school
classrooms, mining camps and housing. The business uses a variety
of building materials from the traditional concrete block or wood
construction to that using cold rolled galvernised steel sections.
The roll formed steel frame buildings are particularly suited
to PNG for both the speed of manufacture and erection, the minimised
on-site times and costs, the lack of material wastage, and the
high standard of finish.
Together with the other products used in the roofing, windows,
doors, cladding and stairs, the end products is one that requires
minimal maintenance through its long life, is resistant to any
future fire damage and does not have the problems associated with
shrinkage or white ant or insect infestation that tend to occur
with the wooden framed buildings.
With an organization of project managers, architects, builders,
carpenters, plumbers, concreters etc complete solutions to construction
camps, schooling or health facilities are offered. This includes
the initial concept, pricing, the preparation of designs and plans
in-house, through to construction and certification.
With a large production capacity, and the speed of rollforming,
the business is ideally suited to large projects such as the Tari
Secondary high School expansion (8.8m) or the Pimaga Hospital
(5.2m) near Lake Kutubu. However, small projects such as the Nebilyer
Police Station, the PNG University dormitories, or the Arawa Markets
on Bougainville are done with an emphasis on completion schedule,
quality standards and customer satisfaction. |
